What will the world look like after COVID-19?
The Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future at the Pardee School of Global Studies is tackling this vast and thorny issue with a new video series called “The World After Coronavirus” (#WorldAfterCorona).
In this series, Professor Adil Najam, the Inaugural Dean of the Pardee School of Global Studies and former Director of the Pardee Center, asks leading experts and practitioners from Boston University and across the world to explore the challenges and opportunities we will face in our post-coronavirus future.
“From a more futurist perspective, the next challenge will look very different, how can we future proof data policies and data strategies not only because the next threat will look very different but also because technology advances our analytical capacity, which also means there are changes in contexts.” – Claudia Juech
In the latest installment, Cloudera Foundation CEO and President Claudia Juech explores what data governance might mean in a post-COVID world. Given that COVID-19 has accelerated the trend towards uncommon data sources such as proprietary company data, Juech discusses how we might “future proof data policies and data strategies” in the context of new privacy concerns that might evolve.
